Car is Back June 4, 2007
Picked it up Saturday. We’ve decided on a 1,000 mile break-in for the new pistons, and it is freaking excruciating! I originally purchased the car in Morton Grove, IL and babied it for about 2 seconds before embarking on the 2-day, 1,400 mile journey home. My regular driving is only 350-400 miles per week, so I’m looking at 2 1/2 to 3 weeks of pussy-footing the gas pedal. That just does not work for me.
Thinking about doing a ~600 mile circuit of Southern and Central Florida over the weekend. I’ll call my dad tomorrow and see if he can work up a route that is less coma-inducing than ~500 miles of Interstate highways…
