Gone in 60 Seconds June 21, 2007
Two Speed World Challenge SRT-4 race cars, along with the trailer they were on and the tow vehicle, were stolen overnight from a hotel parking lot in Michigan.

This sort of thing is always on the back of my mind when I think about the Subaru Challenge. Lots of highly modified, high value cars, with faily weak factory anti-theft systems, left unattended overnight in one hotel parking lot. Think I’ll be taking my car’s ECU with me…

Saab June 16, 2007
I’m really loving how much the upcoming 2008 Saab 9-3’s front end resembles the 9-2X. Now my car really does look like a member of the Saab family…
700 June 15, 2007
I’m somewhere around 700 miles, so far so good. I’ve scheduled the re-tune for June 22nd, by which time I should cross the 1,000-mile threshold, and if all goes well I will be autocrossing with ER at Moroso on the 24th.
I’m signed up for the Subaru Challenge on August 25th, and if I’m going to stand any chance of bringing home a trophy I am going to have to enter as many events as I can find over the next two months in order to get seat time. ER is still having trouble getting sites so probably I will have to spend every other weekend alternating between CFR events at Brooksville and Deland.
So much for my plans to get all of my credit cards paid off…
Always Check Your Lugs June 13, 2007
Before running an event, always check that your lug nuts are properly tightened:
If the video doesn’t show, try the link.
Update: Now self-hosted, my video player ought to actually work. Word on the forums is that the person purchased new lugs that were the wrong thread pitch.
